N°1 school for international orientation

UTC’s international policy has always played an integral role in the university development. Numerous activities are proposed to help students prepare for a multicultural environment, faculty and personnel are encouraged to exchange and collaborate with their foreign counterparts. UTC’s policy aims at anticipating industrial and social needs in order to contribute to France’s economic growth as well as being involved in Europe and in the process of globalization.

10 double degrees, study semesters abroad, training periods abroad, university or industrial projects abroad, European PhDs… UTC students truly have ideal opportunities for international experience thanks to its solid partnerships and international  relations.

Privileged partners

International opportunities for education and research are a priority for UTC which has always sought out university partners both in Europe and worldwide. UTC and its privileged partners agree on concerning globalization and industrial development, and share the same values, ambitions and concerns for excellence in specific fields.

Cross-mobility

Student and faculty exchanges are at the heart of UTC’s international policy. Students are offered the possibility of gaining international experience at several points in their studies, for a training period in another country or for a double degree.  Foreign students and faculty are also warmly welcomed at UTC.

Coherent packages of credit courses in English

Each academic department has designed a coherent package of credit courses in English to enable non-French speaking international students to undertake a period of study at UTC and obtain credits. This is offered to "exchange and degree seeking students" both at the Master's level and the French engineering degree.

Off-shore campus

Another UTC goal concerning international relations is the creation of foreign university platforms. The aim of these platforms is to allow the UTC to be permanently and strategically present in certain parts of the world, to increase its international visibility, develop double degrees and common research projects, and promote student and faculty mobility. It also allows students to have extended experience in a radically different environment giving them a new vision of how technology can be used, while the intellectual gap enables them to become more broad-minded. It also gets them accustomed to using innovative approaches which will be useful in their future career..

It is in this spirit that the French universities of technology (UTC, UTT and UTBM) created the Sino-European University of Technology of Shanghai (UTSeuS) on February 14th, 2005.
