Major studies (3 years)

Students choosing a major already have a 2-year college degree in fundamental engineering from the UTC or a scientific degree from another higher education institution. Studies typically last three years. The goal is to give students general, well-balanced training in the engineering department of their choice, and in their 4th semester they must choose an area of specialization.

Biological engineering

Biological engineering introduces students to a series of biological processes and applied life sciences.

Chemical engineering

Chemical engineering is at the crossroads of several fields which use knowledge and know-how for the transformation of raw or synthetic materials into more elaborated products through a succession of operations.

Urban Systems engineering

The Urban Systems engineering curriculum prepares students to intervene in building contracting and building project management at several levels : national, regional, local or simple building unit.

Mechanical engineering

Mechanical engineering students receive well-balanced scientific and technical training in contact with industry, in particular in the fields of automotive and aeronautics.

Mechanical Systems engineering

Mechanical Systems engineering trains students in integrated design and manufacturing engineering.

Computer science

Computer science engineers are key players in every economic sector where there is a change towards digital technology.  They are able to analyse requirements, propose solutions and manage their implementation.

Technology, Humanities & Social Sciences

Particular attention is paid to putting human issues at the center of engineering sciences, allowing students to learn about the complexities of socio-economics via specific courses ranging from learning about company management to the philosophy of science.

Academic year

The academic year is divided into 2 semesters of 16 weeks separated by two intersemesters about 4 weeks (February and July - August).

The first semester usually runs from first week of September until the end of January and the second semester from the end of February until the end of June.

The intersemester period is an unique opportunity for students to take part in cultural or educational activities which, due to their nature, cannot take place during a semester : for example a seminar on interculturality, a discovery trip to other countries or continents or an intensive language course.

Academic calendar
  • Fall semester : 2 September 2009 - 16 January 2010
  • Spring semester : 15 February 2010 - 2 July 2010

Application form
