Mechanical engineering

Mechanical engineering students receive well-balanced scientific and technical training in close contact with industry, as well as a solid background in humanities and social sciences.



Objectives


The objective of this specialization is to train engineers who are able to work in the fields of mechanical engineering and industrial design and production.  A mechanical engineer knows how to choose materials and technology, to deal with acoustic and vibration problems, carry out industrial design and quality insurance and reliability, "assure quality and safety", know mechatronics and automation, as well as project management. The future engineer in general works in an engineering and design department or in methods and industrialization as leader project of R&D. The different industrial sectors range from the automobile industry, aeronautics and nuclear, sports and leisure, plastics and steel...

The cross-departmental specialization "Innovative project management" can be chosen besides these five specializations which is open to  students of all departments.
