Mechanical Systems engineering

Mechanical Systems engineering trains students in integrated design and manufacturing engineering. Future graduates naturally find work in the following mechanical industries: automotive, aeronautics and any industrial sector that includes production and complex mechanical systems design.

Objectives

Mechanical Systems engineers are above all mechanical engineers who are able to design machines, equipment, structures or any type of mechanical system which incorporates different technologies: mechanical, electromechanical,  optical... They know how to use CAD, for instance in geometrical modelling, finite elements computation or virtual reality. Their training allows them to simultaneously take into account all the relative data concerning product or system life, from the preliminary project to it’s manufacture and eventual recycling.

Areas of Specialization

  •  Integrated mechanical design
  •  Modelling and optimization of products & structures
  •  Integrated production & logistics

The cross-departmental specialization "Innovative project management" can be chosen besides these three specializations which is open to  students of all departments.
