Platforms

Upstream research and projects on concrete cases interact and lead to the strengthening or the creation of platforms. The operational proximity allows the research teams to increase their awareness of industrial problems and specific requirements in engineering on current and future projects.

In the context of the ROBOTEX project (excellence tools project), Heudiasyc will further enhance the existing “Intelligent Vehicles” and “UAVs” platforms supported by the shared mechanical and electronic workshops :

  • A set of intelligent electric car, equipped with diverse sensor systems (lidars, stereo cameras, microwave radar, 100hz GPS/IMU) and onboard real-time control systems.

  • A fleet of small UAVs with a payload of 500g, equipped with precise GPS systems, cameras and laser range-finders.

In the context of the ICARE-U project, the mechanism will also be completed through the multi-physical calculation platforms (PILCAM), the new kinematic and dynamic analysis platform for human joints (CinDyAH), the platform for characterization and modeling of the mechanical (and biomechanical) systems,

Thus enhanced, this platforms mechanism is fully coherent with MS2T and its fields of application. It is obvious that in the next ten years, new investments will be granted to keep this mechanism perfectly in line with the needs of the researchers and manufacturers associated with the project. These new resources will be funded through the industrial contracts and the support of the local authorities (Regional council of Picardie in particular). The resources directly allocated by the Labex will be centered on human resources, but will provide a strong impetus to the continuing reinforcement of material resources. The added value of MS2T here will be to open up these mechanisms further to UTC researchers and students, while encouraging the involvement of our industrial partners and researchers from other laboratories in France, Europe and the rest of the world.
