The objective of the set of themes "Design, modeling and optimization of the electric actuators" is to study the electric actuators presenting an innovative character at the structure level (machine, power electronics and control), as well as conditions of use of more traditional structures. This axis requires a scientific and technological multi-field approach associating electrical engineering, the power electronics, the control, thermics, mechanics, as well as mathematical tools for the numerical analysis and optimization. The research projects were developed according to two directions.

Four actions will be undertaken in this topic:

1. Optimal design machine

2. Development of models adapted to the control

3. "Real time" identification of the electric machines for their control.

4.Analysis of acoustic noises generated during electric machine - electronic power converter association
