The scientific organization of the The Compiegne Electric Drives Laboratory is centered around only one field of competences, heading:

"electric Actuators and motricity systems with embedded energy ".

The objective is to reinforce the position of the LEC, as pole of competence in the field of the global design of the actuators with electronic control. It is a field which requires to control aspects various like electromechanics, the control electronics, and also the constraints related to thermics and acoustics.
