Acoustic Mechanics and Materials (Roberval)

This research unit aims at becoming a national center for excellence in Mechanical and Acoustics Design.
Its intended results are to develop reliable experimental and digital tools for computer aided design.



It deals with :

- calculation methods and optimization in mechanics, acoustics and vibrations 
- hybridization of trials-calculations
- materials and surface behaviour

  •  Direct and inverse digital methods for acoustics, vibro-acoustics and air-acoustics
  •  Experimental methods for analyzing sound wave propagation and hybridization with calculations for non-destructive control of the characterization of materials and identifying sources of noise
  •  Diagnostic methods and acoustic and vibrational signal processing

  •  Developing theoretical and digital models and multi-physical/multi-level matching
  •  Specific experimental techniques for analyzing surfaces and interfaces
