Enzymatic and Cellular Engineering (GEC)

Research activities are centered on the study and use of biocatalysts. Studies use functional and integrative approaches for problems concerning biocatalysts at three different levels of complexity: molecular, supramolecular and cellular.

Our scientific approach combines the understanding and behaviour of natural biocatalysts in their complex environment, the creation of new functions to explain realities of the living world and producing biotechnological tools. Our expertise in this field helps in technological development dedicated to the medical as well as the industrial sectors.
