Integrated Transformations of Renewable Material

The “Integrated Transformations of Renewable Material” research unit is at the crossroad of practical applications and scientific knowledge in process engineering aiming to develop agro-resources in a sustainable development context.
This research unit gathers faculty members from UTC Chemical Engineering Department and the Organic and Mineral Chemistry School (ESCOM) who are partner institutions. Due to their activities they belong to the  competitiveness cluster dealing with the agro-resources industries.

Research topics

The specific topics to this team’s disciplines concern molecular synthesis,  product, materials and special formulations, transformation processes, preserving and treating, implementation and design.

The unit is divided into 5 groups :

  •  Microbial and bioprocess activities
  •  Interfaces and divided mediums
  •  Agro-food technologies
  •  Chemical transformations of renewable materials
  •  Thermic and catalytic transformations
