Electrical treatments have received considerable attention in bio and food processing during the last decade due to their potential to enhance or create alternatives to conventional methods.
Recent progress in electrotechnologies like pulsed electric fields, high-voltage electrical discharges, ohmic heating, moderate electric field processing, but also combined technologies (electrofiltration, electro-dewatering,..) will be presented.


Special sessions will be dedicated to pilot and industrial scale realizations as well as to fundamental principles and electrophysical properties of biological tissues, biomaterials and food products.
UTC is glad to welcome scientists from more than 20 countries all over the world working on those promising technologies.
