Specialty - Technologies and Health Planning (TTS)

This Master’s degree specialty “Technology and Health Planning” (TTS) follows the constant evolution of biomedical technologies, training engineers to be reactive and able to maintain efficient medical equipment platforms. Integration of innovative processes is essential if we wish to maintain high quality of the health service infrastructures and instruments.

Course contents

UTC and its Department of Bio-Engineering are pioneers and leaders in bio-medical training in France. The Master's TTS specialty focuses on biomedical technologies and their management. Case studies and group work are used to acquire skills needed to work in the health sector. The course contents rely on research findings and practice in ITC labs and other high level partners:

  • biomechanics and bio-engineering (UTC-BMBI) in general
  • plus strong connections with the Continuous Training units (cf. Master's degree specialty - Medical equipment with EHESP, DU Dialysis.
  • There are also noteworthy connection with health sector industrialists (General Electric Healthcare, Philips Healthcare, Resmed, Draeger, etc.) and public/private health care establishments (Ap-Hp, CHU and CHR).

M1 course contents (overview)

Year M1 is common to various ISS specialties (project management, finances, manpower resources, QA in enterprise, computer sciences, applications and networks, statistics and metrology ... ) plus several courses on specifics needed for the specialty (such as health care systems, images and signals, physiopathology, medical instrumentation).

M2 course contents (overview)

In year M2, there are numerous lectures given by specialist (practitioners and industrialists) during the first semester. A 5 month placement follows, either in a hospital or an industrial context, enabling the trainees to compete and practice their theoretical knowledge and skills.
