22nd Congress of the International Society for Molecular Recognition – ‘Affinity 2017’

The 22nd Congress of the International Society for Molecular Recognition (aka ‘Affinity 2017’) will be held Sunday June 25 - Thursday June 29, 2017 at the University of Paris 6 (Pierre & Marie Curie).

This meeting takes place every second year and is organized by the UTC-GEC Laboratory (Enzyme & Cell Engineering). It brings together academic and industrial experts from round the world to discuss the state of the art in molecular recognition processes and affinity reactions.

Themes under discussion:

  • Fundamentals of bio-recognition processes : kinetics, thermodynamics, digital modelling of biomolecular interactions
  • New ‘affinity’ conducive materials: combinatory approaches, biomolecular engineering, biomimetics, supramolecular receivers, MIPs, aptamers
  • ‘Affinity’ Interactions in cell biology – signalling channels, differentiation, bioimaging
  • ‘Affinity’ Interactions in healthy and ill situations – use in diagnosis and therapeutics
  • Bioprocesses based on affinity: design and optimisation of small and large scale preparations, production of antibodies, affinity chromatography and pseudo-affinity.
  • Biosensors, micro and nanosystems: design and optimisation of applications to measure molecular Intercations in analyses, process control functions and results and diagnosis.
  • Single molecule detection: equipment devices and ‘in vivo’ tracking
  • Evolution engineering and computer modelling in affinity – discovery of new medicinal drugs
  • Auto-assembly: molecular aspects controlling biomolecular organization in complex structures.
