Visit by a Regional Delegation to the UTC Daniel Thomas Innovation Centre

UTC was honoured, Friday April 1st 2016, to receive a delegation representing French Region Hauts-de-France, to visit its Innovation Centre and to exchange with the representatives as to the implications, in terms of the recently created new territory and its industrial activities.

Elected officers Karine Charbonnier (Regional Vice-President and Delegate in charge of Training and Relationships with the Entrepreneurial Sectors) and Nicolas Lebas (Regional Vice-President and Delegate in charge of Higher Education, Research and the Universities) and appointed executive officer Arnaud Riquier (Regional Director for Industry, Research and Higher Education) were shown round the Innovation Centre's activities (the railroad scale one test facility, driverless vehicles, virtual reality (VR) and movement detection methods and technologies, the Interactive display table, the Fab'Lab ...) with demonstrations by UTC research scientists and with the presence of students working on their personal 'innovation -intensive' projects.

The visit also allowed UTC to review its territorial commitments, in terms of employment, training, research and innovation, as well as its involvement in identifying and shaping industries of the future.
