Four actions will be undertaken in this topic:

1. Optimal design machine

2. Developments of models suited to the control

The machine optimal control, as well as its optimal dimensioning, requires a sufficiently precise analysis model. Besides the constraints of the models used in optimization, constraints of the "real time" kind are added, which set fast calculations, working on variables coded on a low number of bits. Currently, two approaches are generally used:

Calculation on a linear model;

Reading of tabulated solutions.

Isocourbes des courants directs et quadratures dans l'espace de fonctionnement
d'un alterno-démarreur intégré à aimants permanents internes.

The first kind of solution is totally unsuited to the systems with highly variable saturation level and second one is limited by the number of variables which can be taken into account.

The optimal control of the various alterno-starters were already carried out by the LEC, based on tabulated solutions, but they demanded a significant retiming work on test bench.

The objective of this action, within the framework of the common research Program UTC/VALEO, aims at proposing a model adapted to control, in the case of a synchronous internal permanent magnet machine .

3. "Real time" identification of the electric machines for their control.

4.Analysis of acoustic noises generated during electric machine - electronic power converter association
