  • UTC Training and the Entrepreneurial world

    UTC trains generalist engineers who are capable of working independently, of taking initiatives, assuming responsibilities and team-working on complex projects in an international environment. UTC also trains Master's degree students to become experts and take on the challenges with cutting-edge research and industrial sectors. Finally, UTC's doctoral school trains highly adaptable PhD students.

    Whether you are seeking to recruit students, apprentice scheme, or graduates, promote your company, or convert your apprenticeship tax into an investment, UTC-Compiegne, its teams and its ecosystem are here to assist you. Our goal is to create long-term partnerships based on trust.

    Recruitment and Employer Branding

    Since its creation, UTC-Compiegne has always enjoyed close ties with industrial sectors.

    The teams at the Corporate Training Relations Department, the Internship/placement service, the Careers service and the Centre for Apprentice training schemes (CDA)FA are there to support companies in their recruitment efforts and in developing their employer brand.

    The mission of the Corporate Training Relations Department is also to optimize professional integration, to promote and raise awareness of the various training programmes and specific educational features, and to respond to any requests presented by external companies.

    Internships/placements

    Internships/placements are a key part of UTC's general training programmes and an integral part of the educational project. Each year, UTC-Compiegne makes arrangements for more than 1 700 internships. Engineering students spend 52 weeks in companies during their studies: 4 weeks in the core curriculum (before the second year of higher education), 24 weeks in the fourth year for their assistant engineer internship and 24 weeks for their final year project. These internships can be carried out in France or abroad.

    Companies recognize UTC engineering students for their ability to work independently and adapt their appetite for technology and innovation and their ability to understand the host company as a whole, in all its complexity.

    Apprenticeships

    The apprenticeship schemes allow students to acquire – in addition to recognized scientific and technological skills – professional skills that are particularly valued by companies. Since 2008, UTC has been continuing this tradition by offering a new routes to obtain its engineering degrees through apprenticeships, with the same level of rigour, while strengthening the professional experience and commitment of its students.

    The guiding principles:

    • Receiving general engineering training;
    • Awarded an identical engineering degree;
    • A duration of 3 years (full engineering cycle);
    • An alternating sandwich rhythm, between 4 and 8 weeks;
    • An international dimension ;
    • A section of 48 apprentices/year per training course.
